While working at Pivot, I had the opportunity to redesign the company's sensor packaging.
This breath sensor is mailed to people who sign up for Pivot's smoking cessation program. It is used as a motivational tool by measuring carbon monoxide in the breath from smoking cigarettes. People can see their progress as their levels go down as they reduce or quit smoking.
The hardware engineers worked with our manufacture to design the reduced packaging size. This was the new configuration we landed on. The goal was to have a modular outer sleeve for the flexibility of client customization and to have a balance of delightful and informational messaging.
The team gravitated towards design number three.
From here we discussed making changes to the outer sleeve to helps entice people to open their new sensors and start using them.
Since we wanted to indicate ways the sensor can be useful, I added product highlights to the side of the box sleeve.
